What are the most common applications?
Reefer containers are usually used in multiple industries and have both food and non-food applications. Some of the most common food applications include Meat, Dairy, Fish, Fruits and Vegetables and non-food including Pharma, Vaccines, and cold testing for technical equipment.
What is the electrical requirement for a refrigerated container?

460 Volts, Three Phase or 230 Volts, or single Phase (Additional breakers will be required on the electrical panel to operate unit). This is widely considered to be amongst the most power-efficient refrigeration solutions.

How many pallets can I accommodate in a 20' HC refrigerated container?
9 standard.
How many pallets can I accommodate in a 40' HC refrigerated container?
18 standard.
Can I place a refrigerated container on the ground?
Yes, ensuring that the ground is leveled in order for the doors properly open.
What if the refrigerated or cold storage container I rented needs repair?
J&T Cold Storage will maintain the refrigerated container throughout the term of the rental period. If you need maintenance, simply call us and we will come out promptly. Please reference your rental lease agreement for further information.
What is the delivery time?
J&T Cold Storage can turn normal delivery around as quickly as 24-72 hours. If you need something faster, same-day delivery may be available.
How do you deliver a portable storage container?
We can deliver the container to you via a tilt-bed truck, flatbed trailer, tilt-deck trailer, or on a chassis. When you no longer need the container, we can pick it up at your convenience.
Are J&T Cold Storage’s units only for temporary or short-term refrigerated storage?
Our temporary containers can be rented for as long as needed. We do offer special programs for special customers that want to rent long-term.
What are the upfront rates to receive a portable storage container?
J&T Cold Storage collects delivery and pick-up charge, and the first month’s rent on the initial invoice.
Does J&T Cold Storage offer cold storage for seasonal requirements?
A temporary need for cold storage can arise due to seasonal demands. During holiday seasons, food distributors and grocery store freezers and coolers can reach capacity while demand for product exceeds cold storage space available. J&T Cold Storage can deliver portable cold storage to your location when you want it and where you want it.
Can I purchase a refrigeration container?
J&T Cold Storage rents and sells all of our refrigerated equipment. We offer lease-to-own options and flexible financing options.
